Diabetes is a condition of the body that uses digested food for growth and energy. There are mainly 3 types of diabetes are there: type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Periodontities diseases are infections of the gums and bone that hold the teeth in place. Gum disease has a problem that can happen if you have diabetes and that cannot be controlled well. Also, the body's response to gum infections can result into blood sugar problems. Periodontitis is recognized as the sixth major complication of diabetes, having increased prevalence and sternness in patients with diabetes. Early diagnosis of diabetes in patients with periodontitis can lead to the prevention of major disease and mortality associated with the disease. Therapy for diabetes may also lead to the improvement of periodontitis.
